The way we work is undergoing a profound sea change, comparable in magnitude to the shift from farming to factories. Our Industrial Age working practices, focused on efficiency and profit at the expense of creativity and connection, are failing and no longer fit for purpose. The workforce, spanning four generations, exhibits diverse needs, leading to growing tensions between capital and labor. The surge in unionization reflects a positive trend, yet workers grapple with threats from AI, existential concerns about climate change, inequality, layoffs, and the cost of living.

Stressors such as poor management, excessive workloads, competing demands, micro-stresses, mental health issues, lack of safety, and endless meetings compound these challenges. With a decade of experience running hybrid organizations and assisting numerous Fortune 500s in enhancing their workplaces, I am committed to inventing a better future of work. Recognizing that every organization is unique, I advocate for a tailored approach, urging each to address the four pillars of a healthy workplace: Meaning and Purpose, Mastery and Autonomy, Membership and Belonging, and Majesty and Dignity.

As a leadership futurist, I engage and inspire audiences not only with future possibilities but also by prompting reflection on different thinking and actions. I delve into topics such as understanding generational differences, balancing meaning and efficiency, building a safer and more supportive culture, and moving beyond diversity to embrace dignity in a meaningful and inclusive yet meritocratic way. I provide insights on shortening and eliminating unnecessary meetings to reclaim time for strategic and creative thinking, building an exceptional culture without fostering a cult-like environment, and embracing new technologies without losing our humanity.

Discover the practices and procedures that unlock each element of the 4M framework, and learn how to envision a better future of work for your organization.

I saw the room go from a bit tired to very inspired. Totally engaging and fully immersive. You wouldn’t want to miss a second of it. It was powerfully supercharged right from the start.
